Abstract: Red meat is the most important source of animal production which represented about 37% of the value of animal production during the period (2016-2020).The problem of the research is the low quantity of production from red meat which led to the existence of a food gap estimated about 457 thousand tons during the same period. The research aims to identify the status quo of red meat production, consumption, prices and the most important factors affecting consumption in the Egyptian market. The most important results are: Red meat production was about 644 thousand tons. Beef came in the first ranking, represented about 51% of the average amount of total red meat production in Egypt during the period (2016-2020). The average per capita consumption of red meat was about 8.7 kg/year. The self-sufficiency average of red meat reached about 58%, the self-sufficiency reached the maximum for buffalo and goat meat with a coverage 100%. It was found that retail price for boneless middle aged cattle, veal (with bone) and Lamb (with bone) took an increasing L.E 0.49, 0.59 and 0.51 per Kg monthly respectively, during that period. The retail price increased monthly about 0.37%, 0.44%, and 0.37% of the average of  meat price, which amounted to about L.E 132.5, 132.8, and 136.2 per Kg monthly , respectively during the same period. The most important factors affecting consumption of boneless middle aged cattle and lamb, by using the factor analysis model are the time variable caused the highest effect which amounted to about 0.97, the retail price of poultry about 0.93 for each during the same period. A change in the real retail price of boneless middle aged cattle by 10% leads to a change in the reverse direction of individual consumption by about 0.21%. A change in the real retail price of Lamb meat by the amount of 10% leads to a change in the reverse trend of individual consumption of lamb meat by about 0.02%. The research ended to some recommendations such as: Retrieving the “Young Buffalo with bones” project, and overcoming all problems to increase the supply, especially in seasons and religious Occasions, encourage investment in animal production and the settlement of highly productive types of meat from economic animals in Egypt.

Abstract: Principal Component Analysis (PCA) has been widely used for fault detection in linear processes, for nonlinear processes however the nonlinear Principal Component Analysis (NLPCA) should be applied. In this paper NLPCA is achieved using Auto-Associative Neural Network (AANN) and is applied to model a chemical process statistically. First the residuals generated by the AANN are used for fault detection and then a reconstruction based approach called Enhanced AANN (E-AANN) is presented to isolate and also reconstruct the faulty sensor, simultaneously. The proposed method is implemented on a Continuous Stirred Tank Heater (CSTH) and is used to detect and isolate two types of faults (drift and offset) for a sensor.

Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate impacts of training on organizational commitment and turnover intentions in private sector of Saudi Arabia. The study seeks to focus on the relationship between organizational commitment and turnover intentions of the employees. Design/methodology – A literature review on employee organizational commitment and employee turnover provides the basis for the research model and hypotheses. A self administered questionnaire survey, involving 251 respondents from leading private organizations of Saudi Arabia was used to gather data and test existing theory. Findings – The results provided strong support for the hypothesized negative relationship between organizational commitment and employee turnover intention. Employees training are significantly connected with organizational commitment, turnover intentions and the commitment-turnover relationship. Research limitations – The sample was limited to private organization in Saudi Arabia. It may not be appropriate to generalize the findings across other populations or settings. However, the sample can be viewed as a representative case typical of many other organizations in the same industry. Practical implications – The results provide insight into the impact of organizational commitment on turnover intentions in the specific Saudi private sector, which might be beneficial for managers and policy makers in the concern organizations, and other organizations generally operating in the same sector. Originality/value – The paper studies problems that describe the private sector of Saudi Arabia.

Abstract: A combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) plant model composed of an irreversible closed Brayton cycle and an endoreversible four-heat-reservoir absorption refrigeration cycle is established. The irreversibilities considered in the CCHP plant include heat-resistance losses in the hot-, cold-, thermal consumer-,generator-, absorber-, condenser- and evaporator-side heat exchangers as well as nonisentropic losses in the compression and expansion processes. At first, Equations of exergy efficiency and profit rate of the CCHP plant are derived. The effects of some design parameters, including compressor and gas turbine efficiencies, ratio of heat demanded by the thermal consumer to power output, optimal compressor pressure ratio, maximum profit rate and finite time exergoeconomic performance bound of the CCHP plant are discussed by numerical examples. The results obtained may provide some theoretical guidelines for the designs and operations of the practical CCHP plants.

AbstractThe effects of 1%, 2% and 3% concentrations of Acalypha wilkesiana and Moringa oleifera methanolic extracts, and sodium hypochlorite on the germinability, radicle extension, cytology of meristematic cells and inhibition of seed mycoflora of two okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) accessions (BAB 002 and BAB 003) were determined. Data obtained for the examined parameters were compared with those from seeds treated in sterile distilled water (control). Acalypha and Moringa extracts improved germination, radicle length and mitotic index better than sodium hypochlorite in the two accessions of okra seeds although significant (p<0.05) differences among the pre-treatments were not high. Acalypha, however, gave a more consistent data for all tested parameters at all concentration levels while Moringa performed best when overall effect was considered. Notwithstanding the enhanced germination and mitotic index of seeds pre-treated with Acalypha and Moringa, chromosomal aberrations were observed but at lower levels than in sodium hypochlorite treated seeds. Acalypha extracts had the best inhibitory activity towards seed-borne fungi, inhibiting all moulds at 2% and 3% pre-treatment concentrations. This study has therefore shown that Acalypha and Moringa may be alternatives for post-harvest storage of okra seeds as compared to the widely used chemical preservatives.

Abstract: The prediction analysis of Karlahi Forest Reserve cover was carried out and its aim at predicting the state of the forest reserve in the year 2029, 2039 and 2049. The Markov and the CA Markov approaches of remote sensing was adopted as the methodology for the analysis. The result of the analysis shows a little increase in woodland in the year 2029,2039 and 2049 at 17.99 Km2, 18.14 Km2 and 18.22 Km2 respectively. The bare surface within the forest reserve reduces in reciprocal to the woodland and the shrubs do decrease as it regenerates in to woodland. The Adamawa State Ministry of Environment and Natural Resource Development has to effectively established a model to protect the flora and fauna within the reserve and new policy on reserve areas protection should be put in place.
